Adaklu Community Secondary School was established on 22nd October, 1984 at Adaklu Waya as a community based second cycle Day institution initiated by Togbe Gbogbi IV (The Paramount Chief of Adaklu) with some assistance from his chiefs and people. Under the headship of Mr Justus Kofi Buafo Adzotor, a refined educationist who was on contract. A total of forty-five (45) students were enrolled as the first batch. The Adaklu Community Secondary School was absorbed into the Public System in 1991. The school crest is as shown in the picture. It has a bird on a mountain flying towards three (3) stars. The Adaklu Community is proud of their mountain. The mountain is a tourist attraction. The three stars stand for the sky. The bird is therefore flying very high to reach the sky. The bird also stands for students. It is for this reason that the founding fathers of the school rightly chose the phrase “ad astra per as pera” meaning “stars through bolts and bars which further shows that the sky is the limit to express their vision . The student is therefore to study hard to reach a responsible position in life. Adaklu Senior High School is a Mixed Gender Second Cycle institution in Adaklu Waya in the Volta Region, Ghana. It operates as a Non-Denominational Day and Boarding school. It runs courses in Agric Science, Business, General Arts, General Science, Home Economics and Visual arts, leading to the award of a West African Senior High School Certificate (WASSCE).
