Agate SHS was founded in 1983. The school runs both day and boarding systems with a student population of about 500. It offers programmes such as Business, Agriculture, Home Economics and general Arts. The school had 100% pass in the WASSCE in 2011 and 2012. Their are competent and hardworking teachers for all subjects. The school however need assistance in infrastructure such as boarding house for boys and girls, assembly hall, library, administration block and staff bungalows. VISION: A Senior High School that will be a National Model for holistic education and development of students for further education through competency – based training, with professionally qualified and effective teachers in a congenial atmosphere in partnership and solidarity with resourceful stakeholders. MISSION: The school will exist to provide students – centered, transparent, timely and cost – effective Senior High School education by implementing education policies of the Ministry of Education and Ghana Education Service, where the student’s academic and moral standards would meet Tertiary Education requirements and make him fit into a Technological world through I.C.T and well – motivated and dedicated professional staff in a conducive environment.
