Overview

Pre-school The pre-school curriculum is also a blend of the Nigeria and British curricula. These includes, Letter work/ Literacy, Number work/ Numeracy, Health Habits/ cultural studies, Social habit/ Practical life, Sensorial and Creative arts. Learning through play is at the center of the Montessori curriculum. It has been researched and discovered that children learn better from being actively involved in their learning. Our resources provide opportunities for children to explore, experiment, problem-solve, be creative, and maximize their learning process. Prospective parents are encouraged to visit the school and meet the School head and Staff and also the children. Admission is on round the year as long as the child had reached the age of 18 months. Bookman's Nursery section is for children from 15months to 5years. Our Curriculum is derived from the revised British Early Years Foundation Stage with excellent application to the Nigerian Environment, thus making learning applicable to daily life. At the Core of our practice is the principle of ‘learning through play’ by this we engage the children in well planned, purposeful structured and unstructured play. Our team of experienced practitioners and support staff are trained to work with children, using a wide range of resources to provide outstanding learning opportunities through adult led and child initiated activities. Our approach to education is to value each child and provide learning experiences that meets their individual need and enables them to enjoy their learning in a safe and stimulating environment.
