Charterhouse Lagos is the first British independent school in West Africa, part of the Charterhouse family of schools – one of the seven great British boarding schools with over 400 years of educational excellence. Opening in September 2024, Charterhouse Lagos aims to set a new standard in education provision in Nigeria and by extension, West Africa. With world-class facilities and a focus on excellence, we aim to inculcate a passion for learning, excellence, and leadership in students. Situated on a 70-hectare campus in Ogombo on the Lekki peninsula, our world-class facilities include science and STEAM labs, music, art, dance and drama studios, a 3-storey library, and an 800-seat professional standard theatre. Other facilities include a 25-metre competition swimming pool along with a training pool, an NBA standard indoor basketball arena, an indoor sports centre, indoor and outdoor football and basketball pitches, a 400-metre athletics track, a covered sports area, and a beautifully landscaped campus that offers relaxation as well as a connection to nature. The school will offer an international education for students aged 5 to 18 (Years 1 to 13) using the British curriculum, leading to the IGCSE and A-level qualifications. These will allow our students to aspire to the very best universities worldwide.
