Clover Hall International Schools is a registered and approved provider of nursery and primary school education in Nigeria. At present, we have a successful school ranked among the top 5 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State in terms of academic content, cost and growth. Our proprietor is a passionate educator whose experience spans a decade filled with the love of learning and an unwavering commitment to excellence. The Clover Hall International Schools management team is led by the proprietor – Nyiedum IfiokUfot. She holds a B. Sc in Accounting and a Master degree in Early Childhood Education from Walden University, Massachusetts. In about a decade of running the school, she has attended several trainings on curriculum planning, classroom management, school improvement and special educational needs. All our class teachers hold a minimum of first degrees from reputable universities, backed by a wealth of experience and continuous educational training. CHIS provides a dynamic and inclusive education in a supportive and stimulating environment where students have the opportunity to fulfill their academic and creative potentials. Our campus is twin duplex located on a spacious fenced lot in the upscale, yet inexpensive Elekahia Housing Estate. Our administrative office is also located here. Our major suppliers/partners are book publishers and manufacturers of other student supplies. We are serviced by a good road network which ensures commuting time to and from the school is as short as possible. Bad debts are few and far between as we have made our payment structure as student friendly as possible. We started off with a curriculum whose key focus centers on early childhood education. We expanded our service to older children due to demand. In our 6 - 7th year, we rebranded and became Clover Hall International School, in line with the new vision of providing quality and affordable 21st century tailored education for all pre-teens in our chosen area of operations. In 10 years of existence, we have studied and expanded on what we feel is a curriculum that will prepare the Nigerian child for the dynamic world we live in now Our niche is one that provides the best learning experiences for our children through a blend of the British and Nigerian curricula. We also incorporate elements of the American curriculum because they are more activity based and make learning real and relevant to everyday life. Our nursery classes use a blend of EYFS (Early Years Foundation Studies) which is the early stage of the British curriculum. In addition, we apply Montessori principles in our Nursery classes for a well-rounded nursery foundation which is important for later years of study. We identified that the Nigerian curriculum is predominantly rote learning and knowledge based with little or no application. We have been able to create this blend at CHIS and in addition we are pushing 21st century learning skills principles especially in regard to equipping the children with life skills. We also are active in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math)
