County Girls–Nairobi, Successor to Murang'a Road Mixed Day Secondary School was registered as Girls Boarding School in 2014 and is strategically located in Starehe Sub – County at Ngara area. The school i.e. Murang’a Road Mixed day secondary school had been identified in 2008 and was carved out of Murang’a Road Primary school by a team of officers who had been afforded from the ministry of education in the city council of Nairobi to identify and establish a school of its kind among other schools in the county. This was necessitated by the high demand for space in secondary schools as a result of the introduction of free primary education. It was also envisioned that the primary had enough space for a secondary expansion, hence the establishment of the school would be found in the finer strategic plan of 2012 – 2017.
