In recognition of the value of early year of discovery as an integral part of the learning curriculum from pre-school through Elementary School, FPS aims to further develop an innovative and early childhood programme, organized within and around multi-age grouping for educating our young ones. The pre-school caters for ages 3 – 5 which are the crucial years of education. Thus, the children will be pushed beyond their ability-level, but given the encouragement to learn the basics of reading, writing and arithmetic. Emphasis will however be placed upon Social-behavior and the ability to form relationship with other children. Learning takes place in the course of interaction. An important avenue for learning is ‘play’ which provides the opportunity for exploration/experimentation and manipulation that are so essential for constructing knowledge
