IDS was founded as a pre-eminent nursery school on the 9th of October 1979 and received commencement approval on the 30th of December 1979. IDS was founded by Chief Mrs. Modupe Alakija- Aromire who laid the foundation and values upon which IDS strives to uphold. She also led the school as its founding headteacher. From its very small beginnings, it has now grown into one of the most successful schools in the country offering a wide range of curriculum integrations and activities perfect for the development of children, of all ages.
