Immaculata Girls' Model Secondary School Nnewi is a school owned and managed by the sisters of the Immaculate Heart Of Mary, Mother Of Christ. It was established on September 15th, 2003 under Rev. Mother Mary Joseph Ann Anochie sustained by Rev. Mary Dominica Odita and Sr. Patricial Mary Enemuo (Vicar General/Education Co-ordinator). Also Rev Sr. Mary Anthonia Ekwelem(Pioneer Principal), graciously assited by Rev. Sr. Mary Millicent Okoye, the headmistress of the nursery/primary section a vision of training girls in a unique way and that is the reason for naming it "Model" from th onset. God's spiritual and natural gift on this school have been made manifest since inception throungh the motherly assistance of the blessed Virgin Mary, Mother Of Christ whose sterling qualities radiate the life of all. Relentless effort through creativity,hardwork and devotedness of a host of Sisters and other staff is being made to make the dreams of the school's foundation a reality thus the school goes for dedicated tutorial and non-tutorial staff who would see that the students are intellectually self reliant, morally upright, socially and culturally polished. The school has consistently insist on discipline in order to live up to her motto " Knowledge and Integrity".
