Overview

Islamic College Osogbo was founded by The Islamic Movement –a vanguard that is championing the cause of Islam on the 27th of Sha-ban 1417 A.H. (equivalent to the 15th of October, 1997 C.E.). The main aim of the school , is to direct the thought of the young boys and girls towards living to attain Allah’s pleasure where the intermediate aim is to train young minds that would serve as instruments of positive change in this filthy environment ;and the immediate aim is to provide a secondary education under the shade of Islam –to prepare students not only to pass the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination, but also to lead a pleasant life (in situation where they would be useful to themselves ,parents, members of the community in which they live, and the entire globe.) The School formally took off with 2 students and 5 teachers at Kosemani Central Mosque, Dada Estate Area, Osogbo and consequently moved to No. 10,Adetoro Street ,Behind Capital Hotel ,Osogbo and then to her permanent site at Islamic Village ,Off Gbongan /Ibadan Expressway,Oke Osun Area,Osogbo.It is pertinent to mention that the college as usual has in her fold teachers of repute, who are professionals,dedicated,resourceful and diligent. The Islamic movement has continued to support the school tremendously in every stage of her development, and has decided not to relent on its efforts to see the school to great heights.
