Overview

Furthermore, to encourage the cultural integration of foreign students, it was decided to insert a partial degree of bilingualism in the Nursery and Primary School, while Italian was still the fundamental language used for most of the teaching activity. Consequently, in the Nursery School the Italian teacher is supported by a native English teacher; in Primary School, one hour of mathematics and one hour of science are taught in English by a mother-tongue teacher. In addition to the curricular lessons, whose programs follow ministerial guidelines, the school also offers a series of extra sports or other activities. In addition, strengthening lessons are active for students with cultural or linguistic difficulties. The teachers, mostly Italian, are all in possession of the qualifications required by our current legislation.
