King Solomon International Schools was established on the 2nd of Febuary, 1988 in a rented apartment at No. 16 Ibiono Street, Uyo with 10 pupils, two teachers and one administrative staff. The idea comes from the vision and inspiration of a mentor and founding father, Aniefiok Asuquo and his wife Grace Asuquo to nurture children of diverse cultures and backgrounds to lead others. The school developed from one stage to the other as follows: In 1988, the approval was granted to operate Nursery section only by the state Ministry of Education. In 1990, approval was granted for inclusion of primary section. In 1992, King Solomon Schools relocated to its permanent site at No. 9, Ben udo Street, which it has occupied till date. In 1993, the indigenous school Anthem was composed by Mr A. B. Etim, the then Head Teacher, Nursery and Primary section. In 1994, the first batch of pupils totalling about twenty (20) sat for the First School Leaving Certificate examination. 1n 2002, the school obtained approval to operate the Juniour secondary school (JSS). In 2004, the JSS took their first Junior WAEC and NECO JSCE and we immediately obtained approval for senior secondary which was granted by the state Ministry of Education. In 2007, students sat for SSCE. The school continues to grow and annual certification examinations are on-going every year.
