Overview

Laoye College is the offshoot of Laoye Nursery and primary school which was established in September 1995 and was approved by Lagos state Government in 1997.. It has been the dream of the promoters of this school to extend it to college in order to train children to a level of career decision making age (Senior Secondary School level) for the better tomorrow of our nation. Going by the recent policy on education that makes the first nine years of education compulsory for pupils, the management of Laoye School saw it as answer to prayer and coupled with more than enough facilities on ground that could cater for the program, opened the college to the public in September 2006. In order to have more primary school leavers added to the existing ones in the primary school to start the college, the first entrance examination was conducted on 31st March, 2006. Ten out of the successful candidates resumed in the school on 11th of September 2006. The population, as at May 2007, rose to 26. We consistently increased in number ever since.
