Overview

Learning Ladder Montessori School is a community of children, parents, teachers and staff, dedicated to the joyful discovery of each child’s innate capabilities and potential. We provide a warm, supportive and personalized environment for children from infant through sixth grade. At Learning Ladder, it means Our Elementary Programme guides our pupils from a Montessori foundation through an innovative curriculum designed to prepare them for transition to further learning. The programme combines rigorous academics with an approach to learning that instills responsibility, independence, and sense of community. Children at this level are exposed to the Nigerian and British curricula. To that end, we integrate the Montessori philosophy and methods with other proven practices to develop 21st century skills. In addition to the international curriculum employed for the core subject areas, aspects of the Nigerian National Curriculum especially as it is relevant to the child’s culture and immediate environment are also fully explored.
