The school started with 16 students but the population has risen considerably within the 20 years of its existence. The Proprietress/Headmistress is Mrs. Tokunbo Johnson who was a trained as a teacher in the United Kingdom and has been in the teaching profession since 1973 with experience both in the U.K. and Nigeria before she founded Liham Preparatory School in 1988.
