Overview

Each day, the Lord touches hearts, enlightens minds and strengthens the bodies of the students and staff at OCA. Here, we have teachers who help students know what they believe and why they believe it, and give them opportunities to integrate that knowledge into their lives through leadership, service and the application of what they are learning. It is our prayer and desire that when students graduate from OCA they will become faithful disciples and ambassadors of Jesus Christ and will know and value truth according to God’s Holy Word. Our Vision A center for training Christian leaders from infancy to adulthood to be Ambassadors of Christ in every part of our world. Train Up a Child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6 Our Mission/Purpose To provide a well-rounded, whole person education by training children physically, spiritually, academically, mentally and socially. OCA is evangelistic in our mission. We seek to take the message of salvation to all children from all walks of life, teaching them to love and fear the Lord. We are committed to developing the whole child for the honor and glory of God in the fulfillment of the Great Commission by providing interaction in Biblical training, spiritual growth, academic mastery, fine arts appreciation and physical development. We strive to help each child reach his/her potential in Christ and exhibit a Christ-centered life directed by the Holy Spirit And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man. Luke 2:52 Who We Are OCA is an American Christian School situated in West Nhyiaeso, a suburb of Kumasi, Ghana. We are working to educate the Christian leader of tomorrow as our vision verse very well explains. We strive to educate the whole person to the glory of God. In order to achieve this we do not compromise our Christian identity. We use the best Christian school curriculum on the market to achieve academic excellence and a strong foundation in biblical principles. OCA is a school with high moral standards dedicated to the task of providing quality education and extended care in a Christian environment. It is not a corrective institution. Consequently, we ask that you do not enroll your child with the idea that we will reform him/her. We are here to work with the home, but not take the place of parents who have experienced difficulty in fulfilling their role. Our goals are not to reform, but train Christian children in the highest principle of Christian leadership, self-discipline, individual responsibility, personal integrity, and good citizenship. Students and faculty reflect these ideals and standards in their attitude, dress, and appearance.
