The establishment of the group of schools is indeed the beginning of a new era in secondary education in Nigeria bearing in the antecedent and pedigree of the founding fathers of educational institutions. The Group of schools came into existence on the 22nd September, 1997 being an offspring of the then OXFORD JUNIOR ACADEMIC, OTA, OGUN STATE. The academic performance of the school rated above 90% within a decade by the State Education Board. The school can be boastful of a well grounded academic and infrastructural system that parents and guardians are proud of. It is in furtherance of the founding aims and objectives of the seed sown in 1997 that developed into multi-functional educational institution. Oxford Group of Schools is ready to advance the course of education in Nigeria as well as bring returns to the investments of parents, guardians and all stakeholders. Oxford Group of Schools is a co-educational institution founded with a view to nurturing and imbibing high moral and educational standard to pupils and students in order to attain the desired educational excellence thus making a total man. Oxford Group of Schools has a host of dedicated members of teaching staff well grounded in their respective fields of human endeavours. In addition, it has well organised Science and Technology Laboratories, Arts, Social Science (Humanity) and co-curricullar activities. It has workable and conducive environment that facilitates learning. Oxford Group of Schools has obtained all government approvals, accreditations and certifications. Its first Junior Secondary School (JSS) 1 students resumed classes in September 2008 having passed the Entrance Examination.
