Seliat International School was founded on the 9th of September, 1996 by Otunba Akin-Akindoju. He named the School after his Late Grand Mother, Chief (Mrs.) Seliat Orosun from Idanre in Ondo State of Nigeria. It was also to provide an alternative for training our leaders of tomorrow in the light of the dwindling standard of education which has continued to face total neglect. This was how we came about Seliat as a School. Seliat International School is a co-educational primary school for children aged from two to eleven years based upon the British curriculum and has been revised to meet modern demands in education. The school operates Kindergarten, Nursery, Primary and College. At inception, the school began operation with all classes of Kindergarten, Nursery, Primary classes simultaneously. Altogether there are very conducive classrooms with additional specialist rooms including an ICT laboratory for computer studies. The school structure is based on two classes per year group and currently has over 300 pupils. The maximum class size is 20 pupils.
