Silver Springs Schools started in 1982 as elementary (nursery &primary) school and day care service at 15at a rented building in Anthony village, Lagos. Three years later, it moved to 15 Shonde Street, Ijeshatedo and later to its permanent site at 45 Irepodun Street, Ijeshatedo, Lagos. On 16 September 1999, it became necessary to extend the opportunity the school afforded its student community at Ijeshatedoto other parts of the Lagos metropolis by establishing a branch of the school at 212 Abaranje Road, Abaranje, Ikotun, Lagos, Nigeria with a population of six pupils and four teachers at its inception. Over the years the two branches of the school grew into medium size elementary schools providing excellent tuition to children living within and outside their communities of operation, recording top class academic performances in combination with well-structured co-curricular activities. Owing to the giant strides the two schools had recorded over the past years of their founding, in 2001 the Silver Springs College, Abaranje, Ikotun was birthed and has since continued to provide qualitative education to the local community within and around Abaranje, Ijegun, Okerube, all within Ikotun axis in Lagos. The Abaranje campus is a sprawling two wing blocks of two Story buildings. One block is housing the pre-school and primary school while the other block is housing the college. The campus grounds are adorned with fruit trees, flowering plants, just by a two road intersection creating a safe and convenient access to the schools premises. The concept of the schools were centered around provision of tuition and other educational services to students of school age at very minimal profit margin in other to give many students and families the luxury of quality education at very affordable fees, including awards of scholarships to deserving recipients.
