Lagós, Lagos
Overview

St, Jude’s Private School started as Crown Day Nursery at Jubril Martins Street, Surulere. It relocated to Festac Town in October 1978, and was renamed. Initially, the school had only six classrooms, an office, 4 toilets, and a staff of two – Mrs. Akpan and Mrs. Jatto (formerly Mrs. Okonma), the Director of the School. By the end of the year, the student enrolment was at 62, from nursery one to primary one. In October 1980, the first permanent structure was constructed, and by the end of the session, all the classes were at capacity. Two more blocks and an administrative office were added in 1981, making a total of sixteen classrooms. The demand for admission into the school continued to increase exponentially, and twelve more classrooms were added to the existing structure. At present, the nursery/primary has thirty classrooms, a Montessori room, a library, a well-equipped science laboratory, a computer laboratory, a music room, an art room, a playroom (for the little ones), an assembly hall, a dining hall, and a sick bay with a certified nurse.
