Overview

At Duke Hall School teachers provide the children with a nurturing environment as they take their first steps into the wider world.  This is often the important first start for young children as they enter their early childhood educational experience. Teachers form strong, reciprocal and respectful relationships with each family, supporting the children’s sense of well being and belonging.  There are opportunities for parents who want to be involved in their children’s learning, and aspirations for their children are acknowledged in the learning programme. Early year teachers are fully qualified as experienced early childhood teachers and registered early childhood educators and have experience with children and their families in kindergartens, crèches and language nests.  The teachers undertake regular professional development to ensure current theories and changes in the sector are supporting professional practice. The pre- school is for age bands 1 ½ years to 3 ½ years (Toddlers and the Head-start classes)
