Overview

The Spelmore Institute has day and boarding facilities, and prepares students to sit Cambridge International GCSEs in a nurturing, well-structured environment.   We follow the British Curriculum for Key Stages 1-3 (ages 5-14), then pursue preparations for Cambridge IGCSEs in Key Stage 4 in a range of subjects including the core English (Literature and Language), Mathematics, Sciences, Economics, French, and Geography. Gifted students are encouraged to sit IGCSEs early. Our Vision is: To inspire future leaders, through holistic education, that champions global enterprise and innovation. We are guided by this vision in everything we do at the school. We have small class sizes (16-20 maximum), and first-class, interactive teaching by committed and motivated teachers, both UK and locally trained. Our students are also provided with a range of co-curricular options to encourage their love of learning, develop their personal interests, and increase their confidence. The boarding facilities provide a home-away-from home, with excellent pastoral care and support in a community setting. Boarders gain a wide variety of life skills including independence, self-sufficiency, self-discipline and time-management. Here, your child can develop life-long friendships and thrive in our welcoming environment. Meals are vegetarian, as part of our wellness policy. The Spelmore Institute is located in the suburbs of Accra, Ghana- 30 minutes from the Kotoka International Airport.
