Toriayo Leaders Academy

Overview

Toriayo Leaders Academy was established in 2013. The idea to establish a secondary school was conceived about 7 years before that date to complement the already existing LEADERS PRIVATE SCHOOL ( Nursery / Primary school). It was the desire of the proprietress to establish a girls secondary school where girls are trained and guided through choosing good careers while focusing on qualitative education without any external influence or distractions. However, the community recommended that we establish a mixed school. After careful consideration the proprietress opted to establish a mixed school for both boys and girls. Therefore Leaders college started running with two boys and three girls . After sometime, the proprietress discovered that there was a school already using Leaders College and she decided to include her nickname. Therefore Toriayo Leaders Academy was proposed and accepted in 2013, by the Lagos State Government, to the glory of God. The college runs both J.S.S and S.S.S curriculum in conformity with the new National policy on education. In line with the new secondary school certificate curriculum structures students must include five (5) compulsory core subjects, one (1) of which must be a Trade/Entrepreneurship subject; and four (4) subjects from the student field of study / specialization. As an institution of learning we inculcate in students the norms, values and ideals of the society and respect for individuals and dignity of Labour. The school believes in the moulding, counselling and monitoring of character of students and raising God fearing students who through counseling and monitoring would run away from evil practices prevalent among youths today .
