Totsland Schools’ founders imagined a school that would be built differently than most. Inspired by the lives of very busy parents and their young ones, a school with Godly purpose, high academic standards, and an excellent quality of life was born. A place where children could feel at home while they learned and developed. At TOTSLAND SCHOOLS, we believe in the uniqueness of your child. We pay close attention to your child’s strengths, gifts, and needs. We nurture your child’s learning interest with purposeful guidance in the right atmosphere. Totsland Schools was established in May 2017. It is an inclusive Christian school. The schools are The Early Years, Lower Elementary, and Upper Elementary. OUR PHILOSOPHY At Totsland, we believe every child is wonderfully and fearfully created, reflecting our Christian values. With the right guidance and nurturing atmosphere, we are confident that every child can achieve their full potential. With scriptural guidance, we ensure that in this journey every aspect of our work and interactions, grounded in the love of God, is evident. Our educational approach provides a clear and consistent understanding of student expectations, ensuring they are well-prepared for college, careers, and the world. We incorporate a mix of educational philosophies to guide our journey toward our goals, focusing on the following: Traditional Education: We emphasize core academic subjects, structured classroom environments, and a strong foundation in essential knowledge and skills. Common Core State Standards (CCSS) Our formal curriculum aligns with the United States CCSS, providing a consistent, clear understanding of what students are expected to learn. This ensures they develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills. STEM Education: We integrate Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics to prepare students for a technology-driven world, encouraging innovation and practical skills. Project-Based Learning (PBL): Our students engage in real-world projects that drive inquiry and collaboration, allowing them to apply their knowledge impactfully. Social and Emotional Learning (SEL): We focus on developing emotional intelligence, empathy, and interpersonal skills, guiding our children to become loving and empathetic citizens. We guide our children to understand and embody the values of being loving and empathetic citizens with the fear of God in their hearts, no matter where they find themselves. Through a holistic approach that combines academic rigor with emotional and social growth, we aim to prepare our students not just for the next steps in their educational journey, but for life. PARENTS We believe that Parents and teachers are partners in the children’s education; however, parents remain the first and foremost teachers to their children. When parents partner with teachers, the children achieve more in school and learning is extended and deepened as a result of information being shared between home and school. STAFF Our staff members are expected to be leaders of learning; thereby modelling the importance of learning to the students. They are role models to the children and must first be excellent and Godly in their ways in order for these values to be developed in the children. Totsland Schools is a training ground for the staff members as they are empowered to be the best Role Models they can be.
