Wankan Academy comprises a mixed Day & Boarding primary school, a Girls’ only Boarding High school a P1 Teachers training colleg all located at Ruiru behind the Kenyatta University, Ruiru campus. We have always achieved a mean grade of ‘A’ making us remain a top school inThika District. The school won the coveted presidential music award in 1997 and has twice produced Master and Miss Enviroment in theAfrican Fund for Endangered Wildlife (AFEW) Kenya sponsored Environmental Awareness competition.
