Staff performance evaluation

Manager, Community Posted 3 months ago
Evaluating staff performance is one of the most sensitive and important responsibilities of a school leader. Done well, it supports professional growth, builds a culture of accountability, and helps the school attract and retain great teachers. Done poorly, it breeds resentment and erodes morale.

What frameworks does your school use for staff performance evaluation? Do you use formal appraisal forms, classroom observation schedules, or peer review processes? How frequently do you conduct evaluations?

How do you handle underperformance? What support structures do you put in place before escalating to disciplinary action? Share your experience and the approaches that have helped your school build a high-performing team.
